Western States Contracting Alliance (WSCA)

National Association of State Procurement Officials (NASPO)

The Western States Contracting Alliance (WSCA) was formed in October 1993 by the state purchasing directors from fifteen NASPO western states. The primary purpose of creating WSCA was to establish the means by which participating states might join together in cooperative multi-state contracting. This approach helps states achieve cost-effective and efficient acquisition of quality products and services.

The National Association of State Procurement Officials (NASPO) is a non-profit association dedicated to strengthening the procurement community through education, research, and communication. It is made up of the directors of the central purchasing offices in each of the fifty states, the District of Colombia, and the territories of the United States.

PEPPM National Cooperative Contracts

PEPPM is designed to reduce the time and effort between the decision to buy and the receipt of the products. By centralizing the bid process, time and money are saved by schools and agencies not having to conduct their own bids. By enabling online shopping and ordering with Epylon and tall free fax for paper purchase orders, time and money are saved on the procurement process. And by providing dynamic competitive pricing achieved by leveraging national volumes, money is also saved on the prices. PEPPM has been in existence since 1982 and over $2 Billion in purchases have been made through the program.
